He built his first computer when he was 12. I have an 18 year old son who's kind of a computer wizard. Up and do it every second or 5 seconds, at that point it's intolerable! It's not so bad when it does it very infrequently but then it seems to ramp I've wasted too much time chasing the cursor around on my screen because it's jumping from where I want it to someplace else. Thanks so much for your help! I hope this is resolved. I will hold off on step 3 and rebooting my computer in Safe Mode until I've given this last step some time (but like I said, so far, so good!)

The mouse is moving like it should and no jumpiness in the cursor on the screen (Good News! so far.). I am now working here at the computer and (as of now) there is no issue. I just followed the instructions for performing a Clean Boot. Then I moved on to the next section and created a local administrator and logged in as that user - The issue was still there. I had done those prior to reaching out to Microsoft. *** Email address is removed for privacy ***Īgain, thanks for your reply and your advice. It's really frustrating to try and work with a cursor that keeps jumping around on the screen!

Hoping someone can come to my rescue and help me get this issue resolved! Because I've tried two completely different mice from different manufacturers and am having the same problem, I guessing this could be an OS issue. Alas, several hours later I noticed that my cursor once again It seemed to fix the problem as I wasn't seeing the cursor jumping around. I did a little research and saw a recommendation to do a windows update. I disconnected the Logitech mouse and paired the surface mouse and the same problem was there with the other mouse. Then I came up with the bright idea to switch out my mouse for the MS surface mouse for my laptop. It was really messing with my productivity as I never really knew where my mouse was going to be on the screen.

I ran my antivirus software and did a computer scan and nothing out of the ordinary showed up.

I thought it was the mouse and went throughĪll sorts of troubleshooting exercises to correct the problem - I reloaded drivers, shut the system down and restarted, unpaired the mouse and re-paired it, tried to see if it worked on the cord as opposed to wirelessly, disconnected Bluetooth to see if there At first it constantly seemed to jump to the left bottom corner. Over the last week or so my cursor started jumping around on my screen.

I can’t click on anything without my cursor jumping around my screen.I am running Windows 10 (subscription). Although this kind of works for now, I would rather have my MacOS running Shadow.

Doing this makes me think that this is a Mac issue or an issue with the Mac version of Shadow. I then tried my Bootcamp partition (Windows 10 boot on Mac) - no mouse jumping. I made a new user account in my OS with minimal startup apps and only Shadow installed, no luck. On my Shadow, I disabled Discord overlay as well as Nvidia overlays. it does not happen when cursor is unlocked. I checked some mouse settings that other people have mentioned, like disabling Enhance Pointer Precision (it was off). Mouse settings haven’t changed on host device.

It does not happen when out of Full Screen. It does not happen when I have the Shadow Overlay Menu open. My cursor jumping does not happen on my host MacOS - it only happens on Shadow. This only happens when I move my mouse or use my scroll wheel.
